Top 5 Favourite Liquid Lipsticks

It's been waaaay too long since I posted on my blog because I've been so busy with college work and going to work, but finally I have some spare time. So here's my top 5 favourite liquid lipsticks...

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer 'Tranquility'
Number 5 is my MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Tranquility. It's a gorgeous nude colour with a hint of pink, the perfect shade for pale skin! The formula is very nice and smooth but the applicator is my least favourite, it's not as soft as some others but this doesn't affect how the product looks at all although after two or three reapplications it can become 'crumbly' but if you know you won't be eating all day then it'll last a long time! And the best part is, it's one of the cheapest going at only £3.00 from Superdrug

LA Splash Lip Courture 'OG Ghoulish'
Next at number 4 is my LA Splash Lip Couture in OG Ghoulish, I absolutely adore this colour, it's almost a lilac/grey colour that looks amazing on all skin! on myself it is quite washed out but if you're someone like myself that doesn't mind that look then go for it! The consistency is a little thick but nothing too bad! I purchased this from Cocktail Cosmetics for £9.95 which I think is a very reasonable price!
NYX soft matte lip cream 'London'

Number 3 is my NYX soft matte lip cream in London, this matte lip cream is one of my go to's. The product is amazingly soft and doesn't feel heavy or thick, it's very long lasting and the colour is beautiful! I can't fault this product at all other than I do feel that the actual lipstick in the tube dries out quite quickly but at a steal of £5.50 from Boots I do not mind stocking up on this!

NYX Lip lingerie 'Bedtime Flirt'
Number 2 is the NYX Lip Lingerie in Bedtime Flirt, I didn't think I'd like this colour but oh my, it's one of the perfect nude shades! It's my usual go to for work now, it lasts all day long even through eating and drinking and doesn't smudge! The applicator is very nice and the lipstick is a very mousse like texture, similar to the soft matte lip creams! This is also an amazing price at £6.50 from Boots!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Androgyny'

FINALLY number 1 my FAAAAVOURITE is my beloved Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny purchased from Cocktail Cosmetics for £14.00. Although this is a little more expensive than the others, it's definitely a must have, they last for ages and are EXTREMELY long lasting, the applicator is perfect and helps me get the perfect shape for my cupids bow. I can't fault this lipstick at all!

Spring 2016

So, it's the 1st of March and the first day of spring! Although it is still quite cold, I'm well prepared for warmer weather, I hope you guys are too!

To start off this outfit I'm wearing a black, woolly, long-sleeve jumper purchased from Forever 21.I absolutely LOVE this jumper, its perfect for this time of year as it's warm enough to wear on its own or even looks amazing with a leather jacket! Wearing this with a black skater skirt and doc martens also looks very cute!

Secondly, I'm wearing my black (they've unfortunately been washed out to a grey colour) ripped skinny jeans from Newlook! These are so comfortable and I love wearing them with a jumper or my velvet vest top tucked in! they go perfectly with a pair of old school slip on vans or converse!

Lastly, to complete this outfit I'm wearing my new gorgeous, 5-inch chunky heels again from Newlook. They're perfect for the type of weather and look amazing with a skirt of jeans! they may be high, but they are undoubtedly extremely comfortable! I can wear these all day easily! they're in the sale so snatch them up whilst you can!

Laura Pinson - Smart/Casual

So today my gorgeous friend Laura allowed me to photograph her outfit, she looks as gorgeous as ever and her styling choices are on point!

To start, this gorgeous long line, blazer coat is from Zara, I love it SO much. It's smart yet casual and it completely brings her outfit together. I think having it in black really goes so well with her black/denim combo, it adds sophistication to any outfit. This beautiful coat would add to any outfit and transform it in so many ways! Try it with a button up A-line skirt and mary janes, or mom jeans and an over-sized, tucked in t-shirt!

This little DIY devil is also wearing a denim shirt from COW vintange, she has bleached and cut the shirt herself into this cute, yet grungy crop top, it looks adorable! If you wanted to wear a normal denim shirt with this look and possibly tuck it into a pair of high waisted shorts that'd look amazing for summer!

Next we have her trousers, they're from Topshop and they are so pretty! They also add sophistication to this outfit, as well as making her look very vintage! The pin-stripe detail is very nice, these would also go very well with a white, low neck vest top and an un-buttoned shirt!

To pull the outfit together, she's paired this entire look with a pair of old school converse. These look amazing and bring a sense of fun to the look, they also add to the grunge vibes!

January Favourites - 2016

So as I have been slacking lately on this blog (which I'm SO sorry about) I decided to start something which I think would be quite interesting for you guys! I'm going to start writing about some favourite products/clothes of mine for each month! So here are a few of my favourites for January 2016!

As we headed into a cold, windy year, I noticed my skin playing up a lot! the cold air had dried my skin out a lot which is odd for me as I have naturally oily skin! To combat this my first favourite is the Soap and Glory Clean on Me and Righteous Butter, using the soap to wash my face and butter to moisturise, my skin has been feeling incredibly soft! I love the smell and softness of these products, and I find the Clean on Me soap to be very smooth and I really like using this to wash away any makeup that didn't come off or to freshen up my face!

Next, I wanted to try using more face scrubs to get rid of blemishes and oils in my skin as I do suffer from them a lot! So I started using the St. Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub to really exfoliate my face, I find this to be quite a rough scrub so theirs not need to use a mitt or anything, just your hands will do! Using warm water to open up your pores and a flannel to wipe away the scrub when you're finished, I also use the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter after drying my face to keep my skin extremely soft!

On to some lovely makeup products I decided to start wearing more matte nude lipsticks as I do love dark lipsticks but I always need a switch up! So first off I bought the MUA Luxe Velvet matte lipstick in 'Tranquility' this is a gorgeous coral, nude, almost peachy colour, it dries fast and stays on ALL DAY, even when eating or drinking a latte, this has very good staying power! Next I have the L.A Splash Cosmetics Lip Couture in OG Ghoulish, I LOVE the colour of this, it's more of a lilac/grey colour, but I feel it fits in perfectly with my nude collection! The lasting power isn't AS strong as the MUA one but re-applying throughout the day is no bother for me! I love the colour and texture, and the application brush is a lot easier and softer to use! Last nude of this collection is my NYX Matte Lip Butter in London, this is my favourite by far, its texture is so smooth and soft, the colour is a more brown/peach colour, it goes amazingly with a lovely brown smokey eye also! This as well lasts all day, I only re-apply after drinking or eating to make sure it looks perfect ( it does that on its own anyway! )

Going onto some face/skin products, I started using the NYX HD Studio finishing powder, this is a perfect powder as it's pure white silica powder meaning you can 'bake' your concealer with it for that flawless, highlighted look. It does get a tad messy sometimes, but once you get to grips with using it, you'll always want to use it!

Another amazing product I am loving are my gorgeous false lashes sent to me by Black Magic Lashes, they are so full and soft, seeing as they are 100% mink, they are so comfortable, light but full at the same time! Wearing these with some bright yet dark smokey eye makeup, they look incredible! Must buy! I'd recommend these lashes to anyone looking to make their eyes appear larger, more defined eye shape, or to top off any gorgeous look!

Lastly, I have a hair 'product'? to share with you! My Foxy Locks 22 inch, brown/black, 165g hair extensions. They are to die for, they feel so soft and don't shed at all. As I have rather thick hair, these are perfect for me, the length looks so natural and they're a perfect match! I'd recommend these to anyone looking to add volume or length to their hair, with a variety of colours, all Remy human hair, they are amazing!!

BLUES

So, it's been a while since i posted on here, as I've had SO much work to catch up on! I thought I'd take a chance to look at some of the new trends for January/February 2016!

If you've noticed, up and down the high streets you'd have seen A LOT of denim in shops like Newlook, River Island, Topshop and H&M. Starting with pinafores, I love them as much as anyone else, they're so versatile, and also available in a variety of colours from acid wash, dark denim and even black denim!

Looking at these two very different but equally stylish pinafores, both paired with high neck, long sleeve, striped t-shirts, they look incredible. The light denim is a beautiful ensemble, pairing this with a pair of white converse or white slip on pumps, would look amazing in spring! Whereas the black pinafore, matched with a black and white striped t-shirt and black chelsea boots, this dark outfit would look amazing on anyone and if you're brave enough to go without tights, well this would look amazing right now in winter! As I said, both styles are so versatile!

Next we have denim skirts. Now I have seen these being worn for a long, long time, I used to wear my own denim skirt when I was 6/7 years old! And to see them come back into fashion is so nostalgic! In particular, I've seen button up denim skirts become very popular, and you can also find them in various lengths, from mini to A-line to Midi, they all look very nice. I love seeing denim skirts paired with a baggy t-shirt worn loosely tucked in, with a pair of chelsea boots or doc martens, they all look incredible which ever way they are worn!

I think we'll all be seeing a lot more denim over the next few weeks!!

Birthday Makeup!

So on Tuesday 12th January it was my long awaited 18th birthday! I'm FINALLY an adult and am able to do so much! I was asked to recreate a specific dark red/plum look in which I hadn't used liquid eyeliner as I usually do, but for the purpose of this tutorial and the fact I had used different lashes, I decided to use liquid eyeliner!...

So to start I have used my NARS radiant creamy concealer in Chantilly as a base. I then added my transition shade which is 'Raw' from my makeup revolution Flawless palette! To continue the look I added a matte blush pink colour from my Audacious palette from Freedom! I love the way these colours work together!

After this I went in with Universal from the same Flawless palette! This colour is a gorgeous metallic rose gold tone, it really helps to brighten blue/grey/green eyes! Also, it added a lot of depth ready for my next two colours! Again from the same palette, I used red night on my outer corner and into the crease, a lovely red that really increases the look of blue pigment in your eyes, I also added this to the underneath of my eye! I then chose to use Medal on my lid, a beautiful copper, gold, creamy pigment, I used this as a base as I then added a glitter based orange shadow to make sure my eyes don't crease, as cream based eyeshadows have a tendency to crease or smudge throughout the day if you do not set them!

To really deepen my crease and outer eye, I added a stunning deep, glittery purple colour, I only needed a small touch of this as I didn't want to take away from the red shadow. I love this purple colour paired with reds as I feel they balance each other out to create these perfect hues of colour, that can really change any look!

To complete, I applied my Rimmel London Glam Eyes liquid eyeliner in a very strong, pointed cat eye shape. for my eyes in particular, extended wings make my eyes look slimmer which gives me a gorgeous cat-eye look! I also applied a few coats of mascara and my Eyelure 140 eyelashes, as these extend outwards towards the end they again give my eyes a really nice shape! I paired this look with a nude, matte lipgloss from MUA called 'tranquility'.

Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

So recently the new Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2016 Collection has been shown to fashion lovers all over the globe, and I must say it's possibly one of my favourite collections yet!

To show off the fabulous new designs, they've taken inspiration to create anime looking characters, they remind me a lot of the game Final Fantasy! The styling of minimal makeup and coloured hair goes amazingly with the collection, as it's glamorous yet edgy, the makeup and style doesn't steal from the main star of the show!

The mixes of vibrancy and bold dark leather is quite eye catching as the gold and red embellishments add some subtle colour to the monotone outfits as well as the large amount of silver studs which make the outfits all the more raw. Not to mention the added snake print to certain handbags, I love this look particularly as it can be worn by many different woman who are eager to mix up styles, colours and tones.

The addition of the head pieces or 'Heroic Tiara' as it's being called, is very precious in my eyes, it adds elegance with is smooth shape but also a hardness with the metal colour, this could be worn with a number of the outfits shown in the collection.

The rest of the collection is basically a varied rendition of the two outfits shown above, and obviously they have the iconic pink haired female walking her way down the catwalk in the bright, baby pink Bicolour Calfskin Jacket which I think she pulls off very well, as do all the other models!
