Christmas glitter

So I thought today I would share with you number 1 of three 'Christmas' inspired looks just in time for the Christmas festivities...

I used my Makeup Revolution 'Flawless' Palette and two palettes from Freedom called Innocence and Adorned. I love the quality and pigment of these three palettes, if you use a primer underneath that's added 'adhesive' to keep your shadow on all night and keep it looking perfect.

To start I went in with my transition shade which is Raw from the flawless palette, to add my base colour I also used Universal from the same palette.

To increase my base colour I added Red Night from the flawless palette and the darkest red shade from the Innocence palette, these two colours together are perfect for blue and green eyes as they will contrast your eye colour, making them stand out even more!

To deepen my crease I used the darkest purple colour form the Adorned palette, I love this colour as is such a rich, dark, sparkly purple, so it adds depth and also a small amount of glitter to make your eyes pop!

Going back to my Flawless palette I used Highlite as a base colour for my inner eye-lid, this is a great colour to use as a base as it's highly pigmented and has a 'glossy' texture, meaning it will act as an 'adhesive' to keep other shadows on and increase the colour even more. Over the top of Highlite I used a mix of Shimmer Heart and Soft Glow from the same palette, as these are pink based eyeshadows, they marry well with the dark red/purple crease and outer corner.

I then used the same dark purple for my crease on the underneath of my eye, I then lined my water line with Rimmel London's khol eye pencil and Lined my eyelid with Rimmel Londons Glam Eye liquid eyeliner. To add volume and length to my lashes I opted for my Eyelure 145's, I absolutely love these lashes as they make your eyes look bigger due to the winged effect and small amount of volume they add to your eyes. I paired this eye look with Makeup Revolutions Matte Liquid Lipstick in Black Heart.

I hope you all enjoyed this winter, Christmas look! Keep your eyes out for more!

Baby It's Cold Outside...

So today I went for a more festive, christmassy tone. Deep reds, grey and black always seem to compliment autumn and winter very well...

First off with one of my two new purchases! We have this beautiful, soft, long-sleeved, turtle neck swing dress from Newlook! It's so stunning and cosy, team this up with a sleeveless long-line coat and it will look so smart and sophisticated, you can be ready for work or a party in no time!

Next I have my gorgeous new chelsea boots again from Newlook, These have a suede fabric in grey and I think they are the cutest yet edgiest boots I have! With the chunky sole and thick heel, they would look amazing with tight skinny jeans, leggings and even knee high/over the knee socks! Think about layering in winter times, not just for warmth but also style, So for example, a cute A-line skirt with tights AND over the knee socks with these boots would look so adorable and edgy simultaneously!
Now I want to focus on the look I went for with this outfit, I wanted to embrace my inner festivities so I went with curly hair in a middle parting. A middle parting is brilliant for people with squarer heads as It can frame your face a lot more and make your cheekbones and facial structure appear a lot more defined! The curls obviously add volume and bounce to the hair, which is needed for this time of year! To keep the curls all day I use FAT hairspray, only a small amount will do and you can top it up a few hours later if needed!

For my makeup I went with reds, oranges and dark purples, all these colours are amazing for green/blue eyes! As they are opposite colours on the colour wheel they contrast eachother, meaning the red will enhance the colour of green and blue eyes! I also used red clearly because its christmas time, the gold adds a hint of sparkle also! I paired this with a nude velvet lipgloss from MUA, I wanted less of a darker 'goth' look today so muted it all with the nude lipgloss.

Old School

So I decided to break out my old school checkered vans for this look, we're going back in time to my old scene years when I used to wear these babies literally EVERYDAY. Lets take a look!...

First off we have "THE SHIRT" as a lot of you call it on my Instagram the few times I've posted it. Yes this amazing 'besties over testies' t-shirt is from The Ragged Priest! I absolutely love this t-shirt as it's oversized and perfect with a pair of leggings or high waisted jeans! It gives such a 'chill' feeling and it's so comfortable all day!

Next I'm wearing my beloved high waisted jeans from Newlook. Although the hole on the knee was once very small, it has recently decided to get bigger, which isn't a miss for me, I personally love the ripped knee look, but if you're after something a little more sturdy and wont change size, try less fitted jeans for example mom jeans and boyfriend jeans! My short 27" legs aren't a great way to show off these 30" jeans but what can you do ey! when life gives you lemons!

As I said in the intro, i broke out my old school, 2013 battered slip ons purchased from Vans UK. Obviously yours don't have to be quite as broken and dirty as mine are, but as I've had them for so long, and I actually think they look nicer when they've been worn in and battered about, you could always opt for a fresh new pair or some simple black slip ons! I think Vans are so comfortable and easy to pull off, definitely worth the money and last a long time!

And lastly I'm finishing this look off with my colourful patch work rather 'hippy' looking shoulder bag. This was purchased from the Oasis Market in Birmingham, I do believe you can find extremely similar bags at the Market held in nottingham, ASOS and possibly even ebay/etsy! This bag will spruce up any simple outfit you have, it's a large size and can hold so much, with three external pockets and one large internal one, this bag is a necessity when it comes to going shopping or going to gigs, as it zips up completely and can be worn across the body, it's so versatile, I love it!

Autumn Shimmer

So today I thought I ought to post some makeup related things, I took Inspiration from JadeTheLibra's GRWM 'Holiday Makeup' video, I thought the champagne, smokey colours SCREAMED Autumn! Here's my take on it...

I first started with my new Freedom Innocent Collection palette, purchased from Superdrug, I am absolutely in love with this palette, the colours are so pigmented! I first primed my eye with a light based concealer, I then went in with 'Make Me' as my transition shade, I love the shade of this colour, it's quite tan but also very muted once blended out!

After this I used a blending brush to add 'Goodwill' to my crease, outer corner and inner corner. This shade is perfect as it's very buildable and as it's a matte shade is looks extremely sophisticated! To add some shimmer to this autumnal look I then went in with 'Blame', this looks incredible and really adds a smokey tone to this look.

To get that holiday feel, I added two champagne colours called 'Fairness' and 'Overlook'. These colours put together is a magical pairing, 'Overlook' adds more of a gold tone which I LOVE. To add some depth to contrast the shimmer, I went in with 'Cause' which is a deep matte brown, I mainly focused this on my crease and blended it upwards, I also used this shade on my under eye to bring the look together.
Using Rimmel Londons Glam Eye Liquid Eyeliner I lined my eyes with a simple, sleek cat eye, this really helped captivate the smokey look! I added Makeup Revolutions mascara, and Eyelure No.202 lashes to make this look more bold and eye-catching, I love these lashes as they are full and add length as well as volume!

x CLUELESS x

So today I have a long day of finishing art work and catching up with with my journal, I'm feeling very smart today! Also have a hint of Clueless vibes!

Starting with my grey crop top, I got this gorgeous, simple top from Newlook, although I'm not one for wearing crop tops, pairing it with a black corduroy button up mini skirt from Newlook as well, I think this is a perfect winter combination! If you wanted to have a not so plan looking outfit, got for a checkered skirt or coloured top!

Completing the outfit with my buckle up, cut out boots from River Island, i love the grunge feel these boots give! They're extremely comfortable and fit well with this outfit. Although pairing silver and gold together can be risky, small accents like the buttons on my skirt and the buckles on my shoes look quite classy in my opinion!

I again decided to accessorise with my Urban Outfitters black/tan leather bag and beige/red tartan scarf from Newlook! As well as my gorgeous ring from occult jewellery! I love this ring as it adds a small accent to the entire outfit, its also so well made and absolutely adorable!

Black x Tan combo

So as it hits winter here in the UK I always opt for darker colours, it always seems to look so much better in the winter, it fits the feel of cold weather (:

To start of this look I chose a roll neck jumper from River Island , clearly black was my calling in this look, although this jumper does come in two other colours! Theirs choice for everyone! I believe the Red version of this jumper would also look very sophisticated.

To company my black jumper, I chose to wear my black faded ripped jeans from newlook, these jeans are incredibly comfortable and I would recommend all of you to get a pair! The denim is such a good quality, although as with all jeans they stretch sometimes, these have been quite good with keeping the shape and structure they had   when first purchased!

For shoes I went with a smart style chelsea boot from new look, I found these to be so comfortable and they look amazing! At a price of £19.99 theirs no room to complain! I love newlook shoes as they have sizes for a whole spectrum of people and they are great quality for low prices! Also from Newlook I am sporting a beige and red check scarf, for only £9.99 this scarf is amazing, it's quite thick width ways so keeps me nicely snug and cosy, the fabric is so soft its well worth it! To add some small detail to this outfit I chose to wear my gorgeous double row amethyst necklace from filigreemoon jewellery

To complete this ensemble I chose to go for my black and tan leather tote bag from urban outfitters, I bought this a while ago on sale for £20 and I have to say I love it so much, its a great size, its comfortable to hold as a handbag or shoulder bag, I know you can buy extremely similar style bags from many other websites!
